HANDLE WITH CARE - SONIFICATION PROJECT AT GAINSBOROUGH'S HOUSE



Today, thanks to the generosity of the staff at Gainsborough's House I was able to record my sound prints for my project Handle with care in situ. The project has involved using a Wacom Bamboo pen graphics tablet to draw out the lines formed over time as a result of the deterioration of the paintings at Gainsborough's House, Sudbury. 

These drawings focus on the hands in the paintings and have been drawn in Adobe Photoshop CS6 using the 2B pencil tool and have then been converted to a bitmap file and processed using bespoke software to sonify the data from the drawings.
