LAOCOÖN - DRYPOINT ETCHING PRINTS



Continuing on from a project started drawing from the Laocoön group cast at Cambridge Museum of Classical Archaeology (click here), I've started to experiment with using power tools in printmaking. See above for an image documenting how I've used a dremel to carve lines into a piece of plastic for drypoint etching. See below for images of the prints, the printing plates drawn on using the dremel to draw out sections from initial observational drawings of the cast, focusing on its patina:
